First Warranty Repair!!!!
Well, I guess it wasn't a repair, not just yet, they had to special order a part so I'll go back when it gets here.
The problem was that I was hearing a clunk in the right front wheel area when I made sharp u-turns or backed up with the wheel turned sharply to the left plus there was a slight pull to the right. The noise didn't appear when turning to the right. They kept it all freaking day from 8 am until 4:30 pm when I called and they said "oh yeah it is ready but we need to order a part come get the car"
They said the problem was a strut, couldn't explain the problem but only that it was making a noise and it was OK to drive. They didn't mess with the alignment since they will have to when the replace the strut.
One word of advice DO NOT LEAVE your car if you can help it, next time I am staying until they fix it. I got it back with 20 miles on it, I voiced my displeasure and the answer was that they would have to tighten something and go for a test drive and keep trying, I told them all they had to do was back it up 5 feet to see if the noise was still there, my seat/mirrors were all readjusted and there had been a passenger because the seatbelt was lose from the clip and rattling. Their claim might be ledgit but I suspect a lunch drive or test drive for someone, bastards!!! Until they get more cars in and the dealership gets over their jollies I am going to keep an eye on the car whenever I have to take it in.

Not to sound like the bad guy here and this does not apply to all shops.
I seriously dought many of the techs at the Nissan dealers are premo mechanics on the new Z. Mind you the car is new to all of us.
IMOH it could have taken that 20 miles to verify the problem err noise on the car. Sometimes backing up 5 feet or so just isnt good enough. If it were more like err say 50-100+ then I would agree with you
I mainly say this cause I have worked on Cars before and still do
"Their claim might be ledgit but I suspect a lunch drive or test drive for someone, bastards!!!"
Again this is IMOH Unless it was above 50m I would have have been joyed it may sound corny but a car "unless it cost over 100k" Is a car that should be enjoyed by everyone. I have a 93 300ZXTT with only 42k miles on it and almost every chance I get I'm either giving someone a ride in it or trying to get someone to drive it Just so they can see what kind of fun the car is. and so I can say See its bad a$$ huh.
Hopefully this doesnt sound bad its Just my 2 cents..

Well I might agree that the mechanics may not have been the culprits but based on my experience buying the car I don't trust the dealership.
As for the 100K car comment that is an asinine comment, this is a 100K car to me, I don't know how much money you have but this is my baby (I think hanging around with 350z_tako has affected your mind, not everyone can afford the fleet he has) and I don't want some a$$hole taking it for joy rides or trying to make sales by giving test drives, unlike you I don't want anyone driving my car specially without my knowledge, how do I know how they treat it, again my comments were not meant to reflect on mechanics but rather the dealership in general.

Yes I agree with you on not trusting some dealerships..
As far as the 100k comment I was only stating my opinion or perspective and I'm sure everyone’s is different. And No I don’t have a ton of money, but I have had many cars, many of them have been my babies per say and had put more time into them than I have had in money. I guess I've had way to many cars in my life.
Love Cars, Love Life and just have good insurance.

Well, the new strut came in and they installed it along with all new rubber and guess what? It is still making the noise, so they told me to drive it for a few days and they would get a hold of Nissan Tech and to check back Friday to see if it still made the noise and what Nissan might have said.

The head of the service department called today to see if I can bring the car in on Monday for a Nissan tech rep from California to look at, it is still making the noise so we'll see. So far the service department has somewhat reddemed the sales experience, hopefully they will figure it out Monday.
