Mine didn't come with a spoiler but I kinda liked the look of it so I ordered one from the dealer. In the time that it took for Nissan to ship it to me (3 months) I decided that I didn't want it. The complete spoiler "kit" is still setting in my apartment. I am going to get the EVO-R Type S spoiler as soon as Andy gets them in. Soon, I hope.

As soon as I saw a 350Z with a lip spoiler I knew mine had to have it. I think it looks more sporty... like the E46 M3 lip spoiler.

When I first saw the new Z and decided to buy it I planned on getting one without the spoiler. As time passed, while I was waiting to buy, I saw more Zs with the spoiler and it "grew" on me. When I finally found the right color and model I wanted it had a spoiler so I bought it that way.

As time has passed I'm glad I did. IMHO it adds something to the rear of the car. At least appearance wise. I don’t know how functional it actually is.

I think Nissan nailed the design of the Zzzz. To me, the spoiler distracts from the look...............individual choice, though.

I actually upgraded to a Performance model & ordered car from dealer 300 miles away to get a Brick w/o the spoiler.

Ditto.

I do like the little factory spoiler though...on OTHER peeps Zs.

I think it's cute. I wonder what's it gonna be when it grows up.

Mine came without and I wasn't gonna wait for another 04 with one, and I don't care for it as much as I do the NISMO one, tho I'm not if I'll get that one or not, either.

Everyone has got an opinion and it seems to be of an apperance than functional issue.

I wish they would have integrated the lip/spoiler into the lid to be all one piece. I think the flair at the end looks good but the added on part is not as desirable for me as if it was all one piece.

At least the original spoiler is probably designed by the 350Z design team, so at least it fits with the rest of the car, its not like someone just slapped it on as an afterthought. which is my main problem with the Nismo one (and prob 99% of any other aftermarket designs) it will never fit with the lines and style of the car, always looks stuck on. I got the spoiler on mine and think its just fine on there.

Now I gotta add a japanese girl to my avatar...hmmm....

I prefer the looks without any spoiler. I also have a '92 Stealth that I've had since new and Stealths have spoilers. I guess I grew kind of tired of spoilers over the years and just prefer the smooth styling of the Z. The lines just seem to flow better without interruption. It seems to be an issue of personal taste with some people preferring the spoiler and others liking the smooth lines. To each his own.......

I like the Z WITH the spoiler....it breaks that bubble butt look in the back..reminds me too much of the Audi TT.

The original lines are nice..but a spoiler emphasizes on where the end of the car stops..giving it a more directional stance. I never liked the back of the Z until I saw it WITH a spoiler.

Just my opinion though.

because most people don't like spoilers. spoilers and other appearance mods look better on some cars than others too. like they are part of the car. on others they look like something has been attached to the car.
