Default What would you do?

I have an 03 5at with a full Nismo v2 kit, HKS exhaust, Injen intake, Motordyne spacer, Tsw wheels, Pioneer head unit, aftermarket gps, stoptech rotors etc...

I'm considering either selling/trading it and buying a newer 6mt (preferably 07 or 08) or dropping some more money into it and lowering it, getting better rims/tires, and possibly a clean/safe nitrous install.

What would you do? Keep the 03 5at and sink some more money in or find a newer 07/08 6mt and begin modding that when after I pay it off in about 6 months?

Here's some pics of the current z:

I'm leaning toward the hr. Sinking more money to a 5at de probably isn't the smartest idea. Maybe I'll part this one out. It could make my sale a little more profitable

Go ahead and have car payments for another 5-6 years, sounds fun!

I would much rather own than finance... you are almost there, be smart and think about your future!

I said I could pay it off within 6 months in my initial post I bought this car with cash, I obviously paid for all the aftermarket parts in cash (who finances those? lol), and I have plenty of cash saved up as well so that's not really the issue

Well. its always a good idea to upgrade your car after a while if you can afford it. Id go with the 07, and i think some of your mods should be transferable. So just put that 03 back to stock if you can.

By the way, the car looks great. What side skirts are those?

All the body parts are transferable, although I would get a different color and would have to repaint them. The exhaust would be transferable and the head unit, and wheels ect...Just wouldnt be able to transfer the intake and spacer I think.

The side skirts are Nismo v2 just painted 2-tone

If you have the cash, why not get an 07/08 NISMO?

Either way, I would definitely update to an HR

Doh... I thought you meant you were able to payoff your current Z in 6 months.

Go buy a new one then!

'65 is/was fun, I finished the new motor right as the Z motor gave out... blarg. '65 is my DD for now and has to wait for more upgrades.

Buy your 6mt car, swap the parts you want to swap and sell the 03. Simple and easy.

Get an 05 6spd, transfer parts, and boost it.

What kind of tires are those?

+1 on getting the '07/'08, but I'd stick with the 5AT.

"I have an 03 5at with a full Nismo v2 kit, HKS exhaust, Injen intake, Motordyne spacer, Tsw wheels, Pioneer head unit, aftermarket gps, stoptech rotors etc..."

Here's my plan. Sell the Full kit and get OEM bumper to put on the car, sell the Injen and grab a OEM, sell the spacers, sell the wheels and put stock back on but keep the HKS, Pioneer and gps.

Sell the car for bluebook value and buy a HR, transplant the parts you kept and sell the OEM parts off the HR.

this makes no sense because you just told him to sell all the parts and go back to oem but keep the audio. so then how would he transplant any parts if he sold them all?

What do you not get? Hes parting out the DE, converting it back to stock, sell it, use the money he made to buy a HR. But I was getting at saving the parts than can be used on a HR like the HKS exhaust or audio system.
