Need advice..is this a omen?
I have a Silverstone Touring MT loaded coming into Dallas late October or early November (T tracking), although I live in Florida. Last Friday, I found someone only 50 miles away who cancelled his delivered preorder (almost exact, just without the Nav), and the dealer was willing to substitute me as the Buyer for MSRP + $199 dealer fee. I was getting excited to pick up my new Z on Tuesday, when on Labor Day weekend, my left leg lost a battle with a boat propeller (a long story) The doctor who sewed me back up Sunday night said that he has never seen a situation where the leg muscle was so beat up and the artery was not severed. Basically, he can't believe I didn't lose my leg (I won't attach the pictures, but it it pretty gross stuff). If rehab goes well, I hope to be able to drive a stick by Thanksgiving. Only time will tell. Right now I'm just a really thankful guy.
So the immediate Z is off the table, but now I am wondering if this is some kind of omen telling me that I shouldn't be getting a Z at all. No way I'll get an automatic. BTW, my 20 and 17 year old sons have offerred to drive the Z if I can't.
I have been waiting since 1/26/02 (or for 25 years, depending on how you look at it) for this car.
So guys, what do you think?

I'm not one of the guys but one of the gals, I hope you don't mind my input. I'm sorry to hear about your accident but thank goodness you didn't loose your leg. I wouldn't take it as an omen regarding the Z but maybe one regarding boating. I understand what your saying about waiting so long to get a Z. I've been waiting for this car a long time too, either way you look at it. Two years ago I was diagnosed with MS but I'll be damned if I get a AT, I've waited too long. I have times when walking is extremely hard but I can still walk, on those days the Z can take a rest. The rest of the time I plan to enjoy it as long as I can. Go for it, it'll give you an added push to get through therapy! Best wishes and a speedy recovery!
