I'm a better driver than my mods

I've passed lots of faster cars on track days as a result of good instruction and driving habits. I've seen lots of fast cars in which the driver didn't follow a good line and as a result had to slow for turns allowing me to catch up to them. It's more about how you drive than how much HP you have. That's why we sing the mantra "seat time".

 

I've beaten some, lost to some. I have yet to be beat off the line, though.

Beat a stock WRX
Got raped by Z06
Beat a Civic....
Beat a MR2 (T)
Whored by Evo(<- not stock)
Beat a V6 accord
Gtr tried racing me...I backed off with dignity (i had to with it)



all at the track of course...

on the AutoX course (cant afford an actual track day ) i've beaten my friends pretty stock 6.0 GTO. But consistantly lose to my other friends modded 2005 mustang GT. he has full FR500 susp, swapped the FR progressive springs for HR linear rates, removed interior for two corbeaus, Hurst short shifter, FR intake, long tube headers, and he's running 295 nito NT05s at all 4 corners, with a decent tune. like 370hp.

I have a stillen y-pipe and a megan drift spec single. 255/45 R tires and 235/50 F.

 

I lost to a Porsche GT3RS, Audi R10, Acura NSX,RSX (former racer)...




I beat a few Civics, and built engine Supra, a 5.0 convertible Mustang was a tough one.. Also the 2010 GTi on R tires was fast!

 

I'm assuming we're all talking about at the track or at an event. Not on the road right? Cuz streetracing threads arent allowed.

 

i think we're good so far. everybody's mentioned either a track or autoX, or something legal.

Some redneck kid in a beater F350 pulled up next to me at a stop light wanting to race. He though he was all badass, I showed him otherwise.

 

Hope that stoplight was on a track..may wana edit b4 u get a smack for posting street racing bits.
