Predicting the Z
I ordered some stuff from strictlyZ.com (hat, license plate frame, and model - pic attached) and they threw in 3 old issues of SportZ magazine and a Z screensaver CD. I was looking through the SportZ from "Winter 2000" and they are talking about how the new Z will be announced soon and they are all trying to predict what it is going to be like. Here are some interesting quotes from the article:
"The new Z car will likely have the 3-liter V6 you'd find in the Maxima, albeit tweaked a bit. A turbo will be optional, and specific power output will be around 200 HP normally aspirated and about 280 HP with a turbo"
"Dropping under 7 seconds in 0-60 runs will be difficult for the new Z car in base form"
"Cornering ability should be in the neighborhood of .80 to .90 Gs"
"As for seating, most enthusiasts prefer a straight two-seater. Sorry, get ready to permanently fold down the rear seats. We predict that Nissan's designers will go with a two-plus-two, but only if its within the original lines on the car"
"If by chance Nissan puts a 3.5 liter V6 into the car, expect it to be called the 350Z"
Haha, at least they got one right
