"how much hp?" i think thats a legit question. and most are surprised to here 300. most people who ask that are talking about crank hp, or prety much asking what the brochure says. if they are smart they can guess they wheel hp as good as i can.

"Whats the top speed?" do people not realize an escalade or a focus would do like 170 if it didnt have a governor? i tell them the computer limits it to 155 lol.

"How fast have you gone?" Again do they not realize that anyone can go 140 if they hold there foot on the accelerator for long enough.
but as of this weekend i can just say 130.

Going to have to disagree with you there. An escalade or Focus would not hit those speeds..and not any car can go 140. Not all cars (even modern ones) are aerodynamically capable of achieving that speed.

 

i promise they can. new focus' are fast. my silverado has been 140mph. i have two inch larger tires than stock and some computer tinkering done, but thats it. im out. lol

yeah it is a legitamate question till you tell them it makes around 240 to the wheels but i haven't had it on the dyno before and they look at you like LOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLL thats it?? then in there heads there like omg what is this a four cylinder? even though ls1's with intake and exhaust only make 50 more hp and they weigh like 400 pounds more and have almost 2 and a half more liters on you.
then you got the 4.6L mustang owners who add up every hp mod they have like it says on the box and will say "well im making over 300whp and prob like 330 tq" and there so dumb you can't even tell them no your car actually makes like 250 whp and maybe 290 tq and will run almost half a second slower at the track then my z
then they call you a ***** talk sooo much **** then you take them to the drag strip and they blame it on the track prep not the fact that my car that has 3.3degree of camber with streatched tires somehow 60' faster and traps almost 5mph more at the track then they do which clearly shows my car is faster (we both went on same night) and its the track preps fault that i smoked them not the fact that they have 250whp not 300 like they say.

Guy: That's not a real Nismo, you just made it look like that and put Nismo on the back

There's actually a guy who lives in the barracks next door to mine that took a black base model 350Z and put on the Nismo bumpers and skirts and has been telling everyone it's a Nismo. I asked him what number his was and he said they aren't numbered since his doesn't have it on there (or the spoiler for that matter). Apparently that happens more then people like to think. I actually think he's got it for sale for $30k here w/ 60,XXX miles on it claiming it's a Nismo

 

DARN - Missed that.... I guess I thought he left the keys in the car too and he meant key fob. Didn't expect it to be that easy....

Wow... I guess people really are that dumb. 30k?? I got my Nismo for 24k with 36,xxx miles. There was also a guy at the car show who had a 2012 mustang gt, and he switched out the manifold with the boss manifold that says boss 302 on it, and got the boss rims, and tried to clain it was the new boss. Still said GT on the back AND there was an actual 2012 boss 302 next to him -.-

My grampa had his 2012 shelby there. That thing is nice... smoothest clutch I've ever felt.
