Basically there is a turn in to some apartments right around the turn and he was trying to get into there. The scooter did stop and the cops showed up really fast to make sure everything was alright and what not. I had a group of friends (4 or 5 cars ) following me that all backed up my story.
At least your alright, not so much for your car. The vehicle the hit me yesterday didnt stop... bit my damage isnt that severe.

You have been with us for less than 2 months. That is not a record for totalling a Z but close.

Glad you are OK. Looking forward to seeing you in a new Z soon.

I have had the car over 6 months just never got on the site till recently.

Just got a call from the police and they are saying that I was not at fault and I could go get my things out whenever I wanted.

No dude, if he applies even so much as 50% brake pressure when a stock Z is at max grip through a corner, the back end WILL break loose.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

why not 48%?

Back end will break loose when its over powered, the front will do 70%+ of the braking power. So if mid turn you hit the brakes chances are it will case the car to slide. Just like a FWD car when over powering it in a turn. It will just go wide.

Now if you're shinning it in the turn and pulling the E brake then yes. 50% no more and no less will cause the rear end to come around.

Just wondering if its not a stock Z, does it mean you can brake harder mid turn?

Naw dude, the stock z kills it in a turn. Im on coils right now so even easier to slide out when slamming on brakes / losing your drink all over the place and trying to downshift at the same time am i right?

Ill tell you its not fun. i understand "this shouldn't happen and this is why" stuff but chill out man somehow my z is just that much better then everyone else and i can do that its a 1 in a mil chance and i did it.

i could of always swerved into my buddys teggy that had his girl my girl and her sister in the car? like that would have looked real nice when the cops showed up. yeah sorry i saved my *** and just killed those 4 people.

Wow. i think the meds are kickin in...

Wondering if there was a problem with the anti-lock braking system. The tires should not have locked up regardless of how hard the pedal was pressed.

That wasn't pointed in you in anyway I was replying to shin, however, after reading your replies it's pretty easy to see what happened.

The wheels might have never stopped moving. Go to a empty parting lot and get up to about 10mph, try to turn the car as sharp as you can while still keeping the speed, once you get to the point where the car is at its limits, give the wheel a tiny sharp turn, or tap the brakes or give it a tiny bit extra throttle and see what happens.

Apply the brakes mid corner will overload the front tires and cause understeer when at max grip. Its very hard to get the back end to swing out mid corner by using the brakes.

Glad to read that you're okay! I lost my Z to a drunk driver 3.5 months ago.

Sounds like you were going to fast for that corner. Add in some idiot on a scooter and an abrupt input from you and its game over.

Were you drinking at the bar? Even 1 beer?

Glad that you are ok though.
