I was on the m3 forum and someone there posted an Edmunds.com review of the 350Z vs the RX8 where the RX8 is chosen as the winner. Doing a minute of digging I also found that the editors picked the Mustang over the M3!!! Ain't dat a swift kick in the nuts....

The cobra/m3 article is from 2000 comparing the NA cobra 305hp with the E36 M3 240hp. For straightline speed, value and a handbuilt motor, yeah i'd probably go with the cobra. For autocross...E36 M3 hands down.

 

Hmm...didn't check the year...my bad.

 

Never in a million years would I ever take a Mustang over a BMW M3 regardless of the year.

 

their pick of cobra over m3 pretty much destroys their credibility before i even look at the 350z vs rx8 article.
