The votes are in and the winners chosen. I'm going to make you all wait while I tell you a story, return about 20 phone calls and then make my post here. First of all I spent 5 hours with Jason and a heat gun to get all the old "PURPLE" and yellow stripes off. To my horror the jack*ss that installed the original stripes laid the material on my car and trimed it with a razor blade!!! The car is covered in heavy scratches going into the clearcoat and half of them into the paint!! We are going to color sand it today, but I already know it's off to the body shop. Modern Images in Huntington Beach as looked at the design that was chosen today and said they can do it. They offered to start on it Monday, I just have to see if I can get the car fixed first. Stay tuned as the winner's pictures will be up shortly. Also other than the winner and runner up, the 19 other people who sumitted designs will be given a Nismo emblem. On my post I will list those and I'll need you to PM Jenny your screen name & name/address for shipping your emblem. Thanks all!!!!! Jeff

So, Jeff... are you going to airbrush on the tiger stripes? Good thing they weren't black... cause another member on this board already has the lemans/tiger strip but in black! Looks good!

 

Modern Image I believe did the black ones on the other car??? I could be wrong, just the rumor I heard. They said they could do it in vinyl so we will see on Monday when I get the car down there.

 

i've heard that a secret vinyl installers use is to overlay the vinyl. One layer for shading effects, one for the color, maybe another for highlights
