Do You Regret Selling Your Z?

I’ve been in China for over month and just returned home to rainy, crappy weather. Had a long miserable flight back capped off by a taxi ride in a dirty cab. I was exhausted, grimy and b!tchy. However, I missed my dog so much I wanted to go pick her up immediately. Opening the garage door I was cheered to see my Z waiting for me. He’s a really good boy, and as always, he fired up instantly making the walls throb with VQ sound.
My dog was saying at a cottage located down a long narrow lane not wide enough for a u-turn and without any handy place to back around. I skidded to a stop in front of the cottage on a layer of wet slippery leaves. Cranked the wheels full left, eased out the clutch a bit to start a u-turn, and then just dumped the clutch with tons of revs. The rear wheels spun like crazy, kicking the rear end around executing a perfect u-turn in half the normal turning radius.
You should never consider selling a cool car like that.

I parted out my entire car and only have the airbag stuff and a few engine components left. I didn't have a choice though. I lost my job and then put 3 holes in my block when a rod let go at the worst possible time. I needed to pay for my living expenses so I started parting everything out. Now I have a jeep and am starting to save again to start a new Z project. I loved owning the car and driving it. I really don't think there is any other car out there for me. Don't get me wrong I love a lot of other cars, but the Z is "My" car. Give me 3 years and I'll have another built to about what I had mine done before.

I've pondered it even though I love my car to death.
Often what makes me stop thinking about selling it is when I am at a distance walking to it whether at a parking lot or in my parking structure. When I look at the lines, the color, the rims, how it sits, how it performs, all remote thoughts of letting it go vanish.

Every single day, I regret my decision to sell it. Since then, had a maxima - after two weeks sold it to my brother. Then bought a E46 M3 and it was my dream car but boy was that car a money pit. One thing after another. After getting fed up with the super high maintenance cost and crap going wrong, sold it and picked up a 06 4Runner 4WD V8. loved the truck but still miss that sports car drive and that exhaust sound. Told the miss that once truck is paid off, ima pick up a 350 as a secondary car since my last one gave me 90k before I sold it and all that without ever breaking down on me.

i sold mine 05 350z early this year.
at times i miss it, seeing other Z's out there.. commenting about the style to my gf as they fly by me.. "check out that weak offset love" .."man that 350z is 4x4" and so on and so on.. yes i do miss mine, i miss the flare and the look at me factor.. the hug in the seats.. the cage.. the stance.. etc... but it was time to move on since there are many other cars out there.. heck i still miss my 95 eclipse gst.
Now, i'm enjoying heated seats.. no stares from the cops.. rear seats.. a large trunk.. awd.. turbo.. yeah its nothing special, but i think it was a good move for me
