Default Z Twin Turbo ???

I was wondering if there's any news on a Twin Turbo. The nissan dealer here in MI said that he's heard of Nissan working on the TT, but is not sure when it will be coming out. I had heard rumors on Fresh alloy of it coming in 04 as a 05 model, but I guess Nissan would have confirmed that by now. Anyway, I plan on asking the Nissan folks at NAIAS here in Detroit in January.

I'm waiting to see when and if the TT comes out before going for the NA Z.

The Twin Turbo VQ35 engine will most likely end up in GTR, not an Z. Most people in the dealership (especially sales) don't really know what ther are talking about.

no word on any turbo plans of any sort. it is highly unlikely they will ever exist. best chance is a supercharger via nismo. its questionable if it will be Stune or Rtune(warrenty or not) my guess is not since the CAI isnt. if you cant warrenty a CAI; how can you justify a SC?

anyway; if you long for a TT you not dead in the water; theres always greddy and power enterprise to help you. or custom.

I'm guessing they won't TT the Z, cause if the Z is making 400+ hp stock... how much hp do they have to give the new GTR?

I don’t know why I think about things like this. I don’t race on the track or street. I really just want a fun, fast daily driver. You’d think the stock unit would have plenty of power for that, and it does, but…

I’d love a Nismo supercharger, especially if you could get it as a factory option. But an aftermarket unit would be good too if it was packaged with an ECU related hardware.

I’m not as sanguine about a TT, Nismo or not. Personal prejudice I guess. They seem to be popular mods.

I believe that Japanese Fairlady Z character mentioned that he had heard that a TT option would be offered sometime in the future. That was about a month ago. Don’t know how reliable that is. Just another rumor I guess. Plenty of those already.
