i forget exactly where it is but do a quick search..there is a thread here that tells you in every detail the difference in models and motor typrs..also to answer your question form earlier HR means High Rev...IMO you'll know you have a HR engine when you pop the hood and notice 2 air intakes coming from the engine instead of just one coming from the right on most older models

Why don’t you invite your friends\coworkers to the track(road course) and see who gets the best time around the track. If they are lousy drivers you might beat them, then you won’t have to spend any money.

Wow...Wife's about to drop our first kid and I'm going to replace the Z with something that has a backseat. What happens when the family hauler breaks down? Tell the wife and kids to take a cab b/c dad needs to look pimp at work?

You got a family with 3 kids. Get your priority straight first before getting a new car simply because you want to wow your friends and look cool. When you have kids, their needs and wants come first not your.

KAFB? doesnt ring a bell. Im based at Holloman AFB. Yes I have a 2009 Mazda CX-9 for the family. Im coming home from a deployment in a couple of months and need something new. Having 3 kids to care for doesnt really change much. It just means I cant go out and afford a brand NEW 30k car. But trading in my paid off mustang for a 18-20k car isnt too bad. its not like im not im going to break my back to get a 350z. everyones acting like im buying a ferrari or something geeze.

Like I said I would love to get an EVO but swinging 30k is a lot harder than swinging 20k

You have 3 kids and are concerned about what your buddies think about your car,

You go to a lot to buy a 350z but instead you come out with a v6 mustang,

It is difficult for you to swing a 30k loan but you still want to pick up a 2 seater for 20k, meanwhile you have four others to lug around.....

I take back my earlier post and like others have stated get your priorities in order cause you are way too easily influenced and are gonna make another bad choice no matter what route you take

Why is everyone talking about me having 3 kids? Once again I will state I have a Mazda CX-9 for those who cant comprehend this...this is a 3 row crossover. This is my family car. As my second car I have a Mustang which I want to trade in for something else. A mustang can fit 4 but the back seats are cramped as all hell. I have a family of 5...Me, Wife, and 3 kids...I cant fit them all in the mustang as it is so what does it matter if I have a 2 seater? Can we get off the subject of me "Putting family first" I have been putting this on hold for over 7 years and its time for me to get a car that I can finally appreciate.

You can always do this. Plenty of room for the kids in the back:

The dark blue color you mentioned is called San Marino blue, available on the 2007 model year only FYI.

I grew up in northern NM, and I don't think there's much of a difference in the two anymore.

Personally I would keep the Z. Z's are fun to drive..but I like driving v8's also. So maybe do both? For some reason I'm a huge fan of the 93 GT's and Notchback. Search craigslist and find someone's failed attempt at a project and pick it up cheap. That's what I'm doing, when I'm done with my 351W this summer.
