Word to the wise.
Perhaps, if they were to Goodwill the entire repair but if Nissan offered to do the repair for cost, then I save some money and Nissan only loses profit (and not something more important...a loyal customer).
I'll be taking it to a PA dealer Friday, after explaining the history, their Service Manager seems confident in a solution. Just from speaking with him I can tell this dealership is run more like an Acura/Lexus dealership. Very professional and very by the book.
