Default Will I be the 1st to 200,000 miles???

I drive a lot for work and my Z (Sasha) is my daily so she has racked up some miles... 180,XXX currently and still running like a champ... Sure she could use a hood & front bumper respray and an alignment but I can't complain... She dishes everything I throw at her, which can be 800+ miles per week and looks good doing it...

I've had to clean the driver's side window motor, fix broken plastic inside the driver's door handle and change the oil... That's it... This is my second Z and I know I will always have one because I wanted one so bad and it lived up to all my expectations and some... I just washed her today and still get that warm & fuzzy feeling walking away from Sash... She's an '04 btw

I may not hit 200,000 before the end of the year but it is a possibility.... Anyone else close/closer??

A guy just last month I believe it was hit 200k in his 04. I see you're in Florida - how's your paint held up over the years? I'm in Florida also and my Z has no garage or cover to keep her protected, but so far I only have very minor clear coat issues.

You might not be the first, but it's still a great accomplishment. 200k miles is definitely nothing to scoff at!

As already mentioned, quite a few over 200k's out there.Furthermore, other Nissans that have variations of the VQ engine have gone much further than that.I had a Nissan SUV
with over 250K,was still going strong when I sold it.The downside on the Z is the quality of some of the parts.Especially interior parts and others.Nissan,as with the original 240Z
(Datsun)had a goal to offer alot of car for the $$.A car that would meet or beat the competition at a much lower price. To do this, some less than high quality materials were used. They needed replacing. To be sure, there is the usual brakes, shocks, exhaust stuff that goes out with every car.All in all,the 350 is a classic in my opinion.I can relate to what you say when you wash your car.
She never looks old,outdated.
The design, the core design was done right.
Looks good from every direction.
Can't say that about the 370...

Here's hoping you hit that 200k and then some.
Why not?

Tell me about it. My brother pulled the door handle to close the door and next thing you know the door handle got ripped off the damn door... He is 11 and so he almost cried knowing how much I love my car, but I couldn't stop laughing for some reason lol... Pretty easy fix...

If the interior really bothers ya than just vinyl wrap it :P

got mine six years ago and I only have 96,000 miles. I am so happy that guys are getting the car to 200k without breaking the bank. Kudos Nissan.

I know we have a mileage thread already but I just wanna chime in with an 05 6mt base @117,414. Changed oil today and reused an old 5q jug from the last change... within 6000 miles the VQ burned hardly any oil as it was very clean per-say. I use high mileage Mobil-1 synthetic too as I have used Mobil-1 in every car I have ever owned. Has a new clutch/flywheel and new Fujitsubo catback because rust killed the stock system around 110k miles.

I am happy with my Z. People usually ask me how I can daily drive a sports car and I reply "I love my Z, it's a lot of car for what it is, gets great mpg if you stay off the go petal and it's very practical for a 31 year old single guy that has no intentions of having a family".

The only issues right now is a burned out high speed fan, needs rotors, shocks and struts need replacing (researching that currently) and possibly needs all bushings replaced. Next spring there will be many new parts waiting for a Z that will be coming out of hibernation to have a new lease on life.

This is my 2nd Z, my first was an 03 touring (auto) I bought for $11,000 in 2008 from a side of the road dealership and it was in terrible condition but I didn't care! I had a Z and I was happy with it until some personal issues arose and I got rid of it. I have no intentions of parting with my 05. I am the 2nd owner as the 1st cared for this car as if it were an exotic car of sorts. She worked as a pharmaceutical rep and drove it interstate and hwy mostly with all service being performed by Nissan. It was garage kept and never driven in the winter as well.
