Your GN is most certainly an amazing machine, but IMO the 350Z is not really intended as a dragster. It is more suited as a track car, and general purpose sports car. You know you can beat a 350Z... in a straight line. Wouldn't a Z06 or something be a more equal oponent?

Of course, if you are keeping a log of the cars you have killed stoplight to stoplight, I suppose you will have to beat one just for completeness.

 

When did the Z's start rolling into Atlanta?

The first I saw was at Regal in Roswell on 8/30, in the showroom awaiting its owner. Since then two coworkers here in the Alpharetta area have reported sightings of Blue and Silverstone....I have yet to see one but still looking on the roads until my own arrival date in Oct!

 

Actually, I don't know if I can beat one or not. I think you've overestimated the GN. I only ran a best time of 13.8 and an average of 14.0-14.1 at the strip. I'd be lucky to beat 1999+ Mustang GTs with that kind of performance since they're running about the same times. I'm certainly not ready for a Z06.

I just got off the phone with Gwenett (sp?)Nissan and I was told 6 more commin in and will be reado on sat... Dunno if ture but sounds good... maybe mine is commin or I can grab one f thoes that are commin in. We will see

 

I believe the daytona blue is up for grabs and the Pikes Peak White was sold today at Gwinnett Place Nissan

 

I saw a chrome silver performance @ Front Page News in Little Five Points ..... it may be the same one that you are seeing on Camp Creek

 

The daytona was sold two days ago... but there are a few track models supposedly in their upcomming shipment and I was told that one was possibly up for grabs..... I am not going to make it till october for mine (not sure of actuall but I got a W order number so I am assuming)

 

I figure there are about a dozen 350 Zs in Atlanta by now.. Mine came over from Lousisanan..

 

What a wonderful drive from Louisiana to Altanta about 620 miles on August 30th..

Think I saw you once on NP Pkwy going north when I was going south. Wow! Only Z I've seen in ATL on the roads!

 

LadyZ when did you order and from what dealer? I ordered the same exact car in Feb and my del. date is in November

 

I ordered early May from Lithia Springs Nissan...far from me, but worked w/them on the recommendation of a friend. Dealer has been easy to talk with and deal with so far. My ETA date (other than just the month) first showed up about 3 wks ago. I have a VIN now and a T tracking number. I'll believe it when I'm driving!

what's your tracking nbr? hard to understand the discrepancy when you ordered so early!

 

Long story Lady Z. I ended up changing my order once I found out the dealer was NOT going to charge 2 k over sticker and I was told at the time it WOULD not mess up my place in line, well, it did and I'm not happy about it. And when I went to check the Z out at the dealer when they got their first one, our car, a Silverstone Touring with Burnt Orange leather rolled off the truck. It was beautiful but somehow was not mine. Oh well, I'm tired of thinking about it. I have no vin# and no tracking #, only my salesman's word that it is a Nov. delivery date and they are running a couple of weeks early. So yours may be here soon. Can I drool over yours when yours comes in?

 

Jgrier.. I met you at Regal that Sat.. About Aug 24th?? was that you.. your story above matches what the fellow there told me.. They had one in the show room and one coming off the truck.. VERY NICE.. I did get mine (daytona blue, enthusi) on Aug 29 th in Shreveport, LA.. .. Keep the Faith.. it is worth the wait..
I would ask it you want to hook up so you can see my car.. BUT I would rather do that with a female (like LadyZ) .. so i wont even ask

 

My car came in a week early...got the news on a Tuesday...couldn't work any more that day from the excitement!

It's true what they say...this car is awesome, to use an overworked phrase/word! (well, except for the sound system-too bad that doesn't work) I don't like to get where i'm going because then I have to quit driving!
