Default Solution to the Vanity Mirror/Visor Rattle!

#1 I just talked to the Dealer, they know about the issue. The fix: they need to adjust the spring in the Visor. Est time = 1 hour...they will have to take the entire thing apart.

#2 Bose Auto Volumn Adjusting: Dealers know about the issue...supposely Nissan is looking into this. I called Nissan Cust: 1-800-647-7261, she logged my complaint but told me it was a feature and since it's a feature Nissan may not fix it. (I don't think she knows what she talking about so I left it like that). She told me she only heard from 2 people complainting about the Z (there 200 people working there)....so if you have issue call there and have documented.

#3 Seater Belt needs to be in the clip...(real pain in the a**) if you dropping off someone. My solution: get a flat piece of rubber and apply double adhesive tape and apply to the pillar so it doesn't bang on it.

Better yet for #3 I'll probably use a piece of leather or vinyl.

Ok bought the Z to the dealer:

They install a damper in the visor.....solved 95% of the rattle....except once in awhile I can still hear the rattle and it's usually just few clicks not as long as it use to be. Too bad they cracked my mirror... so they going to order another visor for me.

BUT here's the NEWS: Nissan will recall the passenger visor and will have a replacement soon....according to my Service Manager who works directly with Nissan Engineer down in San Francisco.

Another Problem: Driver Side Rattle when you driven on the freeway and have the visor half way down. They will put in the damper for that one too....but no words on a recall.

Marcy.....yes I will be there on the 28th. I'm going to get a head count for saturday 9/14.
