Nice, and congratulations. By the way, it's LeeLOO, not Leeloe (if you really want to quote 5th Element).

Nice car Sharp.........I see you have the headlight washers too. (little squares below the headlights) We don't get those here. It is neat the way they slide out of the body and squirt the lights, then close up again.

What is also cool: There is a button to fold the mirrors inward.
He he, I dig it!

What is not so cool: I cannot open the windows from the key's remote. That sucks.
On the US models, you can open the windows remotely by pressing the open button for about 5 seconds.

Yah, the ZENON headlights are just awesome. They actually adjust themselfs up and down while you are driving.

Wait, do the US models *not* have auto-leveling headlights? Why do so many manufacturers leave those off in America? Auto-levelers seem like such a good idea! (Especially for people with trucks who load a bunch of weight into the back and make their headlights shine straight into your face.)

Acutally let me just ask this.....why is the USA not getting all these cool doo dads? Headlamp washers, sidemarkers, auto lvl lamps, push button folding mirrors....I mean i'm happy with my Z(besides having trouble getting the dealership to fix my tire feathering problem), but these things are really neat and would come in handy...anyone got a explanation?

Sorry, I do not.

Another thing that I remember...

Wait.

I'll start a new thread on this one... PLease read it. It has to do with a vibration from/on the gear lever.

I also notice that you do not need to get a oil change round about 5000Km? Why?
Sharp, congratulations on your great looking Z, and thanks for taking the time to post pics for us!

1. The break-in mileage may not be quite as bad as it seems. At least for the 2003 models like I have, you had to keep the RPM's under 4k for the first 1,200 miles. This car moves along pretty well up to 4,000 RPMs anyway, so your "normal" daily driving is not really affected - unless you race all the way to work. Also, if you get several miles on her and then take her up to 5,000 RPMs every now and then, nothing's going to blow up anyway. Just don't do any full throttle accelerations until you feel comfortable doing them. As for me, I played it safe.

2. As to the oil change suggestions, the 2003 models weren't really delivered with a "break-in" oil, hence the more standard time limit was recommended by Nissan for changing the oil. However, I recommend that you change the oil earlier anyway, maybe at 2,000 Km. It just seems to make sense, knowing that there will be more metal particles in the oil due to break-in.

Drive safe always!

Thanks for the reply, WayneTN.

I will follow your advice and change the oil at 2000km.

RSA has a very high import tax for cars not made in RSA. We do as well not as much in Oz.....So you guys do pretty well in the USA.
