Alright so I got my z a few months ago and love it.
I started to mod, I put AEM CAI, invidious cat back, berk test pipes, and got a COBB tuner. Car runs great except for a hick up at about 2k-3k rpms.

So I get to researching and fanigle with my mods to see if one of them started th problem. Nothing, I finally go get my codes read at the Nissan store and I have a P0328 code (high input bank 1 knock sensor) so I call my mechanic and we decide to take it apart and fix the sensor and wiring harness. And while I was at it got a 5/16 motor dyne plenum space ISO thermal.

So after we get to the sensor we notice it had already been attempted to fix but just made worse. So we fix, waterproof, and put back together with new plenum spacer.

Now the z is running way stronger than before from take off to 7100rpms. I should have payed more attention and got my codes read first but there was no check engine light so I didn't know there was a problem.

Luckily I have a little money for fun because of the military and could afford this but for some people checking cOdes first is an understatement.

I raced a friends STI with raised boost and upgraded inter cooler, and some other miner performance and we raced from 0-100 and he only pulled my by a little less than 1 car.
I love my N/A Z and couldn't be happier with my purchase, just wish I would have started the mods correctley

lol....it takes 3 consecutive cold starts for the same thing to happen before an actual "check engine" light pops on. Unless the problem causes engine, or catalytic damage. Ex. misfiring.

did you also think a 300 hp car would pull much on a 287 hp w less weight car? Turbo or not, sti's have extreme lag.

haha no im not a girl kingeddie, sorry bout the long post, i guess details are not a key in this kind of post, just excited i got my Z running solid. i know the STI's dont have much more hp then the z, but his is a little modded but i still thought he would have pulled more but just shows i need to get used to the z a little more.

JediXsole sounds like your a little bitter that another person who bought their Z is excited to finally see what it can do. I know how to drive and im not a kid. im 24, i paid for my Z with my money unlike you who probly lives off your parents. i would put money you a clown that has 40k or less babying the thing and not driving. get off my case
