Default 2007 and up Automatic transmission Z compared to manual

I have a question regarding the automatic transmission Z I know for the 2007 and up models, the Auto Transmission was revised to work better with the engine what are the quarter mile times of an Auto Z compared to the Manual?? both stock. All reviews I seem to read have the time for a manual

Thanx

Not 100% certain but id assume they'd be very close. We do have a section for slip times so you could have a look there.

I don't think an auto manufacturer would want the auto or manual version of the car to be much quicker than the other. I think they'd try to keep it as close as possible.

In regards to your choosing auto/manual it depends on what you like/need. If you sit in traffic all day an auto can be a god send. But if you want to track/feel the car, manual would be the best bet.

The auto is not much slower then the manual but it is slower. But that is only if the manual is a pretty good driver. The trick to a 07-08 Z or any other manual Z is getting it off the line without alot of wheelspin. The auto doesn't spin much because of the dramatic drivetrain lose due to the auto transmission....

It has nothing to do with how many tenths of a second faster a manual is over an automatic. It's all about one thing: do you want to drive the car or do you want the car to drive you?

Bro just because you have a manual doesnt mean your driving car, YOU drive the car, choosing your own shifts or letting the ECU do it doesnt make you any less of a driver, dont believe me? go to a track day and race someone with an auto, if they know what they are doing they will take you, just like someone in an auto, and that goes for autocross and drag.

OP, automatics have a 22% drivetrain loss and Manuals have a 17% drivetrain loss, because automatics use a auto transmission they are slower by 5% whp, very easily made up with mods. Pick your poison wisely though, auto is a god send in traffic as was said before, or if you like choosing your own shifts and feeling like your "driving" pick a manual.
