Overall, not a fan f most of the stuff on your mod list.
A big postive though is the clean exterior.Especially the
great track wheels. The spacers look good.I'm sorry, the red accents
cheapen the look of the car.Just my opinion. Also, when taking pics, make sure you clean up everything. All the crap on your front mats gives impression that the
car is not well maintained. The dash kit idea in CF may work.I've got one in my car.I agree that the "silver" used in the interior is pretty poor.If you go the CF route, suggest you buy a molded part for your shifter/console area.
A dash kit part will not cover the sides.
But if you keep going with the red stuff, its just gonna look cheap.
Your engine compartment is pretty dirty. If you are gonna run without a engine cover, make sure the front of the engine is clean including the hoses.Details like split hose wraps.Lastly, when you mentioned the "P" word(Plastidip),I knew your project
may be in the wrong direction.
Look at some pics of other cars.Think quality not glitz.
look terrible.

So the general consensus is to keep the red more subtle.
So, I'm gonna change *****.
Buy that carbon kit.
Buy the floor mats
Look for a nice red stitched wheel
Red stitched black leather.
Clean up the engine bay.
Paint the silver covers black.
Buy an engine cover. (I dont think the rare JDM will fit with the stillen bar.)
I already have the red rad hoses coming and the plenum is perma-red so just going to have to work around it.

Sometimes I wonder if we should just rename the board to" hateonmy350z.com". Heres how I see it man, do you enjoy your car? Do you like to get in it everyday in drive? If so then more power to you. I give you props for doing the work yourself and not having someone else do it for you, no matter what that modification may be. DIY all the way. Why is there so much negativity on this forum, in the end we are all car guys and shouldnt we be supporting each other?

sounds good on paper, not in practice.

most times asked or not, they are saying,"what ya think"?
With this particular OP,there has been some substantial input. It
appears that the OP will follow some of the advice and opinions given.
I do design consulting for a living.I can't tell you how many people just

Additionally,I've posted several ideas...fixes that I thought would be
helpful or,maybe have never been done.As it goes, there were some likes.
There were some dislikes.Thats what makes the world go around.

id try to bring the interior back to stock as far as color scheme goes, and maybe repaint the plenum silver and put the cover back on if you can. Also, i wouldnt install removable steering wheels or other race oriented gear until the rest of the car can flow with it. big things first. Lastly, try to get rid of the tinting on the headllights/taillights. Let those puppies shine with confidence lol

don't know much you can do to the engine bay not my forte, but if you want my input on the interior(you may not) i think its best to not have allot of red, its hard to match reds, i would stay simple and chic, don't try and be a race car or ricer. maybe a nismo exhaust in the future, no spoilers if you do, something simple like stock. if you do go with red still invest, no covers, get stitching or racing seats that aren't ridiculous, trust me. lights, no blacked out, and don't get black wheels.

When somebody starts a thread or,posts info on "what they have done",
most times asked or not, they are saying,"what ya think"?

Well, I thank Wird06 who complimented all the DIY, and thank your for the support. But I don't feel I'm getting hated on. I opened this door when I started this thread, and I value everyone's opinion. Especially since I knew I was going off the reservation a little. The purpose of this thread was to get some input and get my build back in a better, more organized direction. I value the opinions of the guys on this board, which was why I asked.
I also don't want to blast a ton of money on this either since I really want to spend some money on a nitrous setup.
So again, thanks for all the Input and please keep it coming.

the rebirth of the Z in 2002.Black makes it better. There many of us,I
included, that have done add ons to the car to in our minds, improve
or upgrade the look and design. There have been successes, many
failures. In my mind,a modification in the styling of car is a winner if
it looks like it should have been on the car in the first place.
At times things get out of whack. You go too far.Its time to rip up
that creation that you thought was art work and go back to the
original.Maybe this is one of those times?

Well the headlight Tint is permanent. The back light tint I can rip off....but I'm hesitant. I kind of like them.
Overall I'm very happy with the exterior.
The emblems are courtesyparts black chrome emblems. The front markers are simply the old school white reflectors, I opened the headlights up and worked on those. The only thing I really regret is spraying too much of the headlight reflectors black. But it's not worth reworking. The rear wiper delete was also something Im happy with. I sort of regret the bumper tuck I ended up doing when that fad was going on.
