Default Which Wheels?

I stopped at a Nissan Dealer today to check out other models and saw all 3 rim options in person. The 17" don't look much smaller then the 18", I was surprised. I also like how the Rays and the 17" have the Z Dots on them. I would have to say the Rays are the nicest. My car will have the 18" rims that come on the Performance.

What do you think?

Default Go with the 18's

IMO the 17's do not look like they belong on the car. They look cheap. I saw a redline with them and was shocked. I am really glad I ordered performance. I think someone who has them and has had the car for a while can give you a better opinion. the six spokes are easier to clean anyway

I like the 18's on the track model better than the other rims.

i think the standard 18's look better than the 17's. at first i thought the 17's almost looked like wheel covers, but after seeing them in person they were better, but still not as nice as the other 2 18's. the rays.....well.......theyre rays.........nice..

i prefer the 17s over the 18s on touring and performance, but the rays on the track are the best.

why dont you get aftermarket rims?

Centerline forged rims are fairly light. 19" are ~ 17 pounds!

I don't agree that the 17s look cheap. I was expecting to not like them from the pictures until I saw them in person...I was very pleasantly surprised. I thought they were sweet. Not as cool as the Rays, but sweet none the less.

Is the overall diameter of the rim and tire the same as the 17" and 18" standard and rays tires?

the 17" rims look like there plastic hubcaps that belong on the altima.

not that they dont look good on the Z, but IMO the 18" ones are a lot nicer.

Default 17" wheels DO look cheap

I saw those in person and couldn't believe Nissan used those wheels.

I feel sorry for anyone with a Z with those wheels.

They look like cheap hubcaps and totally distract from the looks of the car.

Yo Wxtorando,---WHat kind of Nismo rims are they? And, what website can we order them off. They look just as good as the Te-37's and I want a silver rim to match my chrome silverZ. I don't know if we can still get the Te-37's in silver or not. Every website I go to says they only come in white or bronze. Let me know--

I remeber when 16" wheels were considered high end in the late 80's. Take the Testarossa for example. 17" are a step up for me considering that I now have 14" OEM on my '93 accord. I like all the wheels, and yes the 18" do look better as they have thinner spokes. But the 17" wheels look better than 99% of the OEM rims out there.

I've seen the Nismo wheels a couple places.

Rays Wheels
Select Rays Wheels Database, then Nismo and then LM GT4
The top button opens a new browser window with sizes and price in Yen. (68000 yen / 120.1 = $566.19 US, at today's rate)

Nismo
Under parts directory, download the "Fairlady Z / Z33" Parts Catalogue, Page 5 has the LM GT4 wheels.

Thanks--I will def. be puttiing on some 18x10's in the rear and 18x 9's on the front. Either the silver te-37's or those NIsmos. It sounds like they are the same price.
