I'm just wondering, has anyone here bought or sold a car using cars.com? I recently put my 300ZX up for sale on that site and I fairly quickly received 2 leads. The first was a definite scam and I am not certain about the second, however, I am not getting warm fuzzy feelings from our initial correspondence.

 

Scammers troll all of the cars 4 sale web sites, you just have to filter out the crap, and treat the deal like any any potential seller/buyer - as in cash only, in person only.

 

Cash or cashiers check and in person only, just be smart about it. If the correspondence seems fishy get them on the phone.
