I taught mine in my old Max before I sold it, knowing I wouldnt want to teach her in the next car I got. I know the Z isn't an ideal car to teach somebody in (power wise and " **** my poor baby" wise), but in my honest opinion, I don't think teaching a person stick in your car a couple of times can do too much significant damage-it would be far worse if you taught her bad habits and then let her continiously drive your car.
I say do it. Teach her, and teach her the right way. The amount of damange to your car will, in my opinion, be minimal in comparison to her being able to drive your car if she needs to or in an emergency. I can't count how many times my gf has needed to drive my car (hers breaks, I drank too much and shouldn't drive, I trade her cars so I can have more trunk space).

I've had my Z for about a year and half and my wife hasn't driven it one time. She's driven manual a few times, not enough to really know what she's doing. She's too scared that she's going to mess up my car so she keeps refusing to learn it. I told her all I want her to do is learn how to drive it and that's it. Not drive it every day

I think that somehow this has turned into "Should a female learn to drive a manual in a 350Z?", where the real question should be "Should anyone learn to drive a manual in a 350Z?", to which the answer is that it's not the easiest car to learn how to drive a manual transmission on. I taught a male friend of mine how to drive a manual in a Porsche 944 I had because I was feeling ill at the time, but if the car was a 350Z, or for that matter, my daily driver 2004 Subaru STi, I probably would have sucked it up and kept driving.
I have let female friends drive various MT cars over the years, including the 944 and STi that knew how to drive MT cars, and not had any issues doing so. I haven't let anyone drive the 350Z yet, mostly because it's a track only car, the seat doesn't move, and I'm 6'1" and like to sit farther back and lower than normal. A couple of friends have sat in it, including one that's about 5'8" who couldn't reach the pedals and see over the dash at the same time.

My joking aside , my wife was brought up with a pretty strict father who wanted his daughters to be capable and self sufficient, and he forced them to learn to drive stick...she drives an auto regularly, but the day I came home with the Z she hopped right in and gave it a test drive it with almost no issues...
That being said, she hates my Z, but that's another story...

Fiancé drove my '06 350ZR 6MT GT for the first time today. She did much better than I thought she would. Didn't over-rev, stall or anything. Only drove it about 6 miles, but was on city streets and did well...
