I'm not trolling. Just a genuine discussion thread.
I have thought about getting an S2000 but there are a few things that I do not like about it. It's getting more and more expensive as time goes on. Good for resale, bad for buying. Another thing is I want to have a very nice audio system in my 350Z, something the S2000 and Miata cannot achieve unless major work is done. And the 350Z has more torque, but probably handles worse than the S2000. There's some stuff I'm willing to part with and a soft top is easily one of them. I got lucky and didn't get any rain drip in my car today when it rained. Last time my passenger seat got a nice puddle in it when I left it outside.

You can buy a hardtop for the S2000, but it probably still won't be as good as a Z sounds wise...

I understand that. Same goes with my Miata. I could buy a hard top to get better sound quality but the cabin space is limited, and a subwoofer is out of the question for my car. Now when I say sound quality I'm not talking about I want the hardest hitting subs so my car rattles to pieces and **** off my fellow motorists, those people bug me to no end.
When I had my previous car, 1994 Honda Civic, I only had four speakers and it sounded great. I didn't even need a woofer. Then I put the same door speakers into my car and it sounds horrendous. I did not know how important sound quality was to me until it was taken away.
Don't get me wrong the S2000's are a really great car, but I don't think it's the car for me. I need torque and a fixed roof. Especially where I live now soft tops don't last that long.

Save up your $5000, then save up another $5000 and keep both lol
I've never drove a miata, but I drove a s2000 and I'm assuming they handle the same. That car is too fun to get rid of, I wouldn't buy it personally, but if I already had it I would keep it for a lifetime lol
