Default 03 Base Z for 29k+

Well I was just driving down Los Gatos Blvd. and I noticed that Anderson Chevrolet had an 03 Z sitting in their lot.

So I stopped in to take a look out of curiousity. I went up to it and noticed that is is a base model and my GF was with me and said " why the hell is it going for over 29,XXX?!"

Just thought this was really stupid of them. Oh and they have KBB at 30-31k.

I think tomorrow just for kicks I will go in there and see whats up. They must think they have a different model or something..

Anyways, just thought I'd share.

dealers are gonna see if someone will buy high (they say one is born every minute)..but more than likely you chew them down a bit (make you feel like a hero) and still walk away with a grand or two in their pocket

But asking almost 30k? Thats pretty rediculous. I realize they may want to see if anyone will buy high. But DAMN.

Haha... Boy, that's crazy. I didn't even pay that much for my new 04 Enthusiast 5AT (before TTL).

A car dealer asking to much for a car? What a shock!

Well I went over there today. I must say they are retarded.

Asking 29,991. They say the KBB is 30,010. And they say MSRP on a new one is 33k. What a joke!! Then hes all, well maybe its got all of the options. It doesnt have a single option on the car!

Morons..

Wow, for kicks I went to take a look again. Expecting that they had lowered the price on it. Well, they raised it. The new price is $31,435!! I think they are trying to play it off as a performance model.

When I was there, a person happened to be looking into buying it. The dealer told them it's a performance model because the tire pressure gauge comes on when they turn the car on. What BS!!

Needless to say I saved one victom from that dealer..

$31,435 for a worn out (interior) Base model with NO options on it. (No floor mats, NOTHING!) And they refuse to listen to me about the price and I think they actually are convinced that they have a higher model. ( Maybe THEY paid to much for it..HMm )

The car biz is based on the premise that there is another sucker born every minute.

Must be..

Although not as bad, they also have an 02 WRX for almost 23k. You can get a brand new one for that.
