The R-34 GTR V Spec isn't much quicker than a Z in it's stock form. R&T go 0-60 in 5.2 and 1/4 mile in 13.7 R&T R34 Article
This car's big attraction is it's easily gotten HP increases. Turbo cars are just easy to get more HP out of, but turbo car resale value sucks.

. The GT-R owns as far as Japanese supercars go.

This is anything but ugly...
I can't even believe that so much of your actually think the R34 is ugly. I love that car soo much.
ninepoints" to get one in the US you're looking at close to 100 grand but that's b/c they need to be imported.

All IMHO of course, but sportcars should be beautiful. The lines should flow nicely and there shouldn't be any look at all of "grocery getter" utility. See a Ferrari F360 Modena for a near perfect example. No matter how fast the R34 is, in my eyes it just looks like a ricer's wet dream.

Hey,
The skyline is Not the z's bully. Now a twin turbo vr4 or somethin, maybe, but the skyline is the z's older, wiser sister, cuz cars are girls first and foremost. and the vr4's bully is the skyline! lets try to get things rite.

Guys,
That's a GTR V-Spec II NUR. The NUR specification (short for Nurburgring - the famous German racetrack) was a final limited edition of the R34 and Nissan threw the works at it.
It has stuff like a carbon fiber hood, carbon fiber rear spoiler, carbon fiber rear diffuser, as well as engine components including the block, pistons, rods, bearings, and turbos from the Group N1 race car. With just a chip upgrade, that motor and drivetrain can easily support 500+ horsepower. It's a pretty amazing piece of engineering.

id like to add that the main point of getting a skyline, is its beautiful!
Well, my opinion anyway.
But to give you some pro-skyline specs,
a major point of getting an r34 Gtr vspec2
all wheel drive, all wheel steering, with a stock ecu editor (think a boost or vtec controller, but for everything from throttle ratio to fuel injection and cam timing) all within reach of the driver seat,
Its rare...be maybe one of a 100 to own a US Skyline...whether 32, 33, or 34.
Its stock engine and transmission, due to internals, are made to handle up to 650 hp with no modification.
Due to the setup of the engine's 2.6L twinturbo plant, small mods make big horsepower...for example,
an increase in the stock exhaust system to a well made exhaust supposedly adds 35+ hp to the wheels without ecu editing...
it won 33 first place prizes on japans highest circuit, several years in a row.
and,
ITS A SKYLINE!
