Just grab a set of 2006 tail lights and replace some interior lights and the lights over the tag with LEDs

Was wondering if yall could give me some ideas of any small/cheap mods that really make a difference more to the exterior part of the car?

I was thinking maybe blackout the tail lights & little stuff like that.

Windows are tinted & I have HID headlights.

-Don't tint the tails. It looks terrible.
-Shorty antenna - no more than $25
-carbon fiber accents - $30 for B pillar overlays, $60 for door handle overlays, $120 for side mirrors, $450 for a lip
-lowering springs - $200ish for the springs and another 400-1000 for camber kits, toe bolts, UCA's and install.
-Intake - $120 for popcharger, $250ish for regular CAI's or you can a $40 K&N drop in filter
-spacer - $225ish for motordyne spacer
-Exhaust - $500-1000 for y back exhaust, another $200-250 for y pipe
-Shift **** - $50ish
-Mrev2 - $450ish
-Tune - $500ish depends on shop

Those are all the cheap mods. You can always look at the marketplace and Craigslist for used parts as well that you can get for a bargain. Find friends that have Z's too. I got my Megan y pipe and Megan single exit for $280 from him with only 8k miles on it. He bought it new for 600. Those are the kind of deals you need to look for.

Seeing that most n/a mods do next to nothing for the Z. I would pick up a plenum spacer, exhaust, and maybe test pipes or intake for a better sound. I would say invest ur money into some nice coils like stance and get some wide low offset wheels. The Z is more for looking good, then going fast.. well unless u go F/I.. then thats a different story

go to Walmart and buy the stick on "Turbo" emblem and put it on your trunk, then while you there...pick up a LED muffler tip...then when you get home go on eBay and buy one of those turbo whistle things that go in your exhaust. the tip will increase your HP and the turbo whistle will give you a couple more. then pull up next to a real F/I Z (or other car) and race. you just might win....... its just as if you really WERE F/I, not bad for like 40 bucks all together!...........

then as you go home with your tail between your legs, follow advice from those that say worthwhile mods are not cheap on the Z. Even I know that and I've only owned my Z for 18 days...

lastly...word to the wise, my "cheap mods" list is totaled to near $3000 and that's not even major mods but your standard "starting mods"...

Take your car keys, and draw a giant **** on the side of your door panel.
That should bring all the boys to your yard.

Yet another Z getting the cheap mod treatment. You'll get better info about cheap mods on the civic forums.

if you're going to be cheap then I would recommend a shorty antenna window tint if you don't have it already.

if you have a little bit more cash to spare then lower the car plus decent wheels, just don't rice it out.

No antenna at all is a great mod since it will look like a RC car with a short or the stock one. None of that stance crap to make the Z look like a clown car and no pep boys best seller items. An all stock Z as close to it's original form will always look best and will always outlive any silly automotive fad like "herra frush" and throwing huge spoilers with neon glow. These cars came elegant and beautiful from the factory providing Japanese reliability, European looks and some American muscle characteristics with a bit of exotic. If you want a car to mod get a car where there are thousands of options for like a scion tC, xB, FRS, Honda Civic, Volkswagen Golf, Audi A4, Jetta or a Hyundai Genesis 2.0 turbo. But please, leave the Z alone or sell it if your going to cheap out.

Look at how gorgeous this car is from the factory. Why would you want to screw up perfection? (notice in all factory photos Nissan engineers take the antennas off)

You guys forgot to tell him. 350Z's have a "Z" tax. Basically anything and everything that says its for a 350Z costs way more and Z's are nowhere near cheap.
Plastic clips for the side skirts alone add up to over $100, but luckily I did my research and found a website and that has plastic clips for cheap

cheap, mods, z =
