kinda looks like someone tried to pry it open.

did u have anything in sight in the car or hatch area that would look enticing to a thief? any marks on the paint like if someone stuck a knife or screwdriver in to pry it?

probably not a new trunk but maybe a new bumper and next time take out your spare and hide everything where the tire is supposed to go when you leave take it out and put it back or put padding down there so its like a trunk

My neighbor took a look at my car because he saw me in my drive way looking at the trunk and he said you can see the mark or a Philips screw meaning some one maybe hit my car and they're screws that hold there cars license plate got imprinted into my back bumper he was saying you need to change the back bumper reinforcement I don't know tho man this blows

I'm sorry but honestly you never should've left anything like that in the back of your car especially if it's a hatchback with a large rear window like Z's that just invites potential thieves to look no matter how dark the tint (especially in the SoCal sun).

I know it seems f*cked but you're lucky the thief didn't actually get in.. would've ended alot worse.

IMHO clean it up and take it to a reputable body shop... see what they suggest.

They can probably just loosen some fasteners to get it back in the right place. Doesn't sound like the finish is hurt too badly.

White is nice.

Bro life lesson learned, cant leave shiit back there without tint, thats why i told you to use the spare tire space, and if its gonna costs over 300 its time to upgrade to aftermarket

It could have been worse....alot worse...

This is prob some amateur/ opportunity thief who inst comfortable with smashing your windows. Check the bolts at the base of the hatch (towards the roof) to see if the latch is bent of if it moved. You might be able to loosen that part (bend it back?) and re-tighten.

Also, wherever it is you park, STOP parking there.

Um, to all the posters after this one, seems he probably got hit - not by a thief but by a car. But correct that you don't leave sh*t in a hatchback that you don't want stolen. Or really anywhere else for that matter.

idk though you think there would be some damage from a car, maybe even some paint or a scratch something becaause the bumper is off line now
