Default Speaker problems needs help

I have an 03 touring with Bose and my speakers are starting to crackle and need to go. I already have a touch screen pioneer head unit and would like to keep the stock sub. What are some decent speakers I can get to replace the stock ones that will be a direct fit and an easy install. I'd like some pretty good sounding ones but nothing with a price tag that's too crazy because I am in the military.

Go to www.crutchfield.com and let them help you out with what fits and what's good. They're incredibly helpful and they know their stuff. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry is going to have their own opinion but those guys know exactly what fits and what's good on the market now for the price you want to pay.

And get rid of that stock sub. It's awful. Rated for 1/2 ohm. Weak sauce.

I'm in agreement with Kaze, get rid of the sub and the crappy little amp that goes with it. I appreciate you're military but they should be able to sort you out with something better sounding that meets your budget.

Agreed, you can get some serious benefit out of an amp. crutchfield or sonicelectronix is another good site with competitive prices.

Bought mine (2004-no bose) right after basic training. 3 speakers busted and stock stereo unit. Had 500$ to left to get me from GA to Fort drum NY so I hit up a local retail/install and got a set of pioneer for front and back for 85$ plus tax then grabbed a stereo, sub and amp for 120$ off Craigslist and set off on a 1000 mile tripp. The pioneers held up awesome the entire ride and ive still got em a year later so if cheap is your target then their deff an option.... My 2¢
