Default Need help with Turbonetics turbo kit

I have a Turbonetics kit with the Turbonetics T60-1 turbo on my 2003 touring 350z. I has started to blow, white smoke really bad, thought it was a bad turbo, removed the turbo and discovered a bunch of oil pooled in the coupler. Has anyone had this issue before? Can I replace the turbonetics with a precision turbo, if so which one should I go with?

How much oil? Two tablespoons - two cups?

I did a search for if your turbo is oil cooled or water cooled... no answer...

so... if water-cooled:
White smoke generally means head/gasket...
Have you done a compression check yet?
Have you had a sniffer check for exhaust gas at the radiator?

If it is oil-cooled a blue smoke would be the turbo bypassing oil.
Turbo can be rebuiilt (search) if it is blowing oil

[shrug] i hope this helps...

Those turbos are said to be junk and the seals always go bad so I'd say the turbo seals are bad and are crossing your fluids if it is water cooled
