Default Best color to paint these wheels?

Idk if this is the right section sorry if its not. I have these 18" Altima Chromies on the Z came on the car but they cheap coating is flaking off and i want to sand them and paint them. Im stuck between black and grey and what would look better with my paint code. Like some input on guys who have had to decide or what not! As you can see my other car is blacked out and i did those wheels over 3 years ago and the paint is still 95% on just a few small chips.

personal preference but I would go with gunmetal gray - not a fan of black wheels

I'm with taryon. I don't think black will do much to the looks of the car. Gunmetal sounds nice though.

Gotta agree that a gunmetal shade would be best(look at a GTR wheel).
The major area after selecting a color is prep for the color.Painting over chrome
can be a problem.Much care on a undercoat or,an adhesion promoter must be
taken or,you'll have the paint flaking off.

Everyone has they're own color preference so this question can only be answered by you. Afterall, your the one who's going to be driving the car. But a GTR gunmetal will look cool.

Sounds like the unanimous choice found some dupli color gunmetal metallic at the local parts store $8 a can so prolie get some of that.

Im gonna sand the entire wheel and get all the flakes of fake chrome off and blow all the particles out and do a few small coats. We have a shed with heat so i can do 2 wheels at a time let them dry i have a 2nd car so i can take time doin it. Thanks guys

Sell them and buy wheels that are not painted. Not sure what type of equipment you have but they are just gonna chip again if you repaint

Wheels for the Z are quiet expensive and kinda on a budget till summer time where i can put money into it. I might pick up a set of stock 17's that were supposed to be on the car off Craigslist.

I havent had any problems painting wheels. Its all bout the clearcoat not enough they chip a lot easier. Its gonna be temp until i find wheels i like for a good price or i can find stock wheels and paint those but this crap plastic/aluminum chrome is gonna keep chipping.

I do understand your saying and i thank you tho

I've seen sets of 17" wheels for an '06 350Z on CL for under $500. They're nice looking and the tires are a little less expensive for them, too.
