Been a Looooong time fellas. Found a few pics
I was digging through some online photos today and found a few of my old Z. Some of you old timers will remember this car, but most probably haven't seen it. Thought I'd share for old times sake. This was my first sports car, and yeah, I still miss it sometimes.

How would you compare all of the sports cars you have had? Also, do you still have the camaro or did you sell it for the jeep?

The 01 Viper ACR felt very much like a kit car from a build quality standpoint, and a pure beast to drive. So much power and you feel like you're sitting right on top of it being so far aft. A really fun car.
The '09 ACR had all the refinement you expect from a supercar. Nice leather, good interior layout, etc. The 600 HP 8.4L V10 is an amazing powerplant. The ACR produces a 1000 lbs of downforce at 150 MPH, so getting it on the track the few times I did was something to behold. I loved the car.
The Camaro....LOTS of power in the 575HP supercharged 6.2L V8. It handled well for a car that weighed as much as it did, but it was definitely a muscle car, not a sports car. The ZL package helped with a lower stance and stiffer sway bars.
The clutch in the Camaro was pure and utter ****. GM's decision to use a shared fluid cylinder for both the clutch and the brakes was an awful idea. They had problems with the clutch pedal not fully returning to the engaged (up) position, so their answer was to put a big freakin' coil spring on the clutch pedal. That made the clutch feel like a compound bow. It was very easy to push near the bottom of the pedal and it would "pop out" up near the top, right where the clutch engagement point is. If you weren't thinking about it, it would catch you off guard and the car would jerk and stall. What a POS.
The Jeep...it's a dog. Handles like ****, 1/4 mile in about as long as it takes me to shower in the morning. But I love it. I've only had it for a few months so once the weather warms up, I'll be hitting some of the local off-road parks with it. It's a totally different animal in the automotive world, but I can appreciate it for what it is and I look forward to going out and finding some mud and rocks to abuse.
I did sell the Camaro before I bought the Jeep. I'd like to say I miss it, but I don't really. Someday I'd like to own another Viper though. Maybe once my son is grown and on his own, who knows.

Love OP's comments...
"weird times man, weird times" "The Jeep...it's a dog. Handles like ****, 1/4 mile in about as long as it takes me to shower in the morning."
