I was sitting in my car in the local supermarket parking lot.
I parked way in the back of the lot. I saw a ny state trooper
in his camero pull into the lot 50 rows away. Did he see me?
There were atleast 15 cars spread out and he was just doing a loop around the lot. I had pink floyd cranked on comfortably numb when he pulls up right next to me and says "WHAT IS THAT"?
I told him it was the new z. He said 'you must have got
one of the first ones in the state'. I said I was one of the lucky few.
He got out of his car and did a complete once over. He couldn't
believe it had 287hp. I said the thing was a rocket but that i could
not test its full potential because of the break in period.
I let him sit in it and he was quite impressed. Those that already have their Z can attest it literally stops traffic. Stop lights
have become fun. Not for the rocket lift offs but for the looks you get.
sorry to ramble but it is just so much fun.

p.s. I did not attach the front plate,required in ny, and he did not say a word. I guess the car was too cool!

I had a similar experience last night. I pull into an out of the way spot at Best Buy and as I'm getting out of my car a Mercedes comes flying up, rolling down his window. He had seen me and followed me over to where I parked, just to get a look and ask me about it. The looks you get are amazing. I seriously hope no (more!) accidents happen due to Zrubbernecking.
