Default I have a 2003 z and don't know much about it

I have an 03 z and need to know about the breaks. It's been making a squealing sound since I got it so I took it to a dealer ship to get new breaks put in but it still makes noise I was told is normal because it's an 03 is this true or should I take it somewhere else?

I have an '03 Z and the brakes have never squealed. Did the dealer install new brakes?

No way you are seriously asking if brake squeal is normal for a car...especially a low-end sports car

I have an 03 and mine don't squeal, might be crappy pads? Have you tried turning it off and turning it back on again?

Have you tried putting a dab of copper slip on the back of the pads, where the piston meets the back of the brake pad? This has stopped pads from squealing for me before. I'm guessing that they only squeal at low speed.
I wouldn't take it to a stealership, they'll empty your pockets faster than a partner with a crack habit. If a fault code doesn't show, these guys are usually at a loss as what to do and will just throw parts at it. I've yet to find a Nissan Stealership that i really trust and why pay top dollar on an 11 year old car. Maybe someone from Arizona can recommend an independent shop.
Oh yeah, welcome to the forum.

They told you it was normal because it was a 03? Do yourself a favor and never go back to that mechanic.
