Default Are Nismo parts really worth the $$$?

I was looking over the Nismo website today and found that you could easily spend $4,000 on headers, CAI, flywheel, and cams. I know that some parts (like the cams) are high technical and are precision manufactured. But my real questions is this: are there any real substantial horsepower gains and if so what are they? Was is ultimately worth spending the cash?

Well lets just say NISMO meets OEM standards and will not void your factory warranty.

Only S-tune Nismo parts will not void your warranty. The cams and headers are R-tune which are not covered under warranty.

What is considered S-Tune? Is there a list of what products fall into what category?

Wait a minute... I know that the headers, for instance, are not covered under the Nissan Parts and Accessories warranty, but are you saying that adding them to your car violates the standard engine warranty? I find that hard to explain... we're not taking FI here or something that could really damage your engine. Anyone have a link to the terms of Nissan's warranty text that covers this issue?

The Nismo cats, cat-back exhaust, suspension and stabilizers are Sport. The headers, cams, CAI, flywheel and pretty much anything else you can think of are Racing. I'm not sure what the Ranom High Flow cats are, but I'd assume S-tune as well.

Well, not voiding the warranty is definately a good thing. I was considering getting the CAI and flywheel, but they are under the R-tune category. I've heard, however, that there is a lighter and essentially better flywheel you can purchse than the Nismo one. Any truth to that?
