Default Anyone else experience homelink problems?

I've had the Z for about 5/6 months now. These past few weeks the homelink system has been acting a little strange. First off, the homelink is programmed to 2 garages, and a gate to enter the neighborhood. Near the beginning since i got my car, the second homelink button that was programmed to my second garage had stopped working for some reason, it worked for a little while, but stopped opening the garage. That didn't really bother me since i never park the z in that garage.

Recently, the button programmed to open the gate (third button) hasnt been working properly. Sometimes the gate would open, other times it wouldn't, no matter how many times i would press the button, or the distance from where i was.

The other day, when i got home, i pressed the first homelink button which is programmed to the first garage (where i park), and for some reason, it opened both of my garages simultaneously.

Has anyone else experienced somethign similar with their homelink?

Sometimes I have problems with the gate, mainly when I am trying to go in behind someone, when I am going in with non one in front I have noo problems, not sure why that happens.

I had mine fail to open the door once. I cleared the memory and reprogrammed and the problem hasn't happened again.

I don't know if my case was the car or the garage door. I have one of those doors with the rolling codes, so it has to learn the Homelink signal. Our house looses power frequently (live in the hills) so maybe that caused the problem - don't know for sure.

I have range issue. Sometimes i have to be less than 2 feet away from the garage door for the system open it. My other car's homelink works a good 50 feet away.

I've never been able to get the Homelink to work with my rolling code garage door opener or the gate opener.

Mine either

I've had my Z for almost a year now and I've never been able to make use of this feature... but then again my remote/opener was designed in the 80's...

anyone out there manage to get their homelink working with a pre-90's garage door opener? (rolling or static code)

I too had range issues with the Homelink in the Z. I got a one foot piece of copper wire and connected it to the 6" piece of wire coming off the garage door opener that serves as an antenna, effectively increasing receiving power of it.

From then on, I consistenly open the door from about 50 yards away.
