Default Megan Racing is a joke

I bought a set of Megan Racing resonated test pipes for my Z and after 18 months and 5,000 miles of easy driving, the driver side resonator has began to rattle embarrassingly loud. When contacted, Megan racing told me it was outside of their 1 year warranty and they wouldn't do anything about it. They didn't care when I explained this was an ongoing problem that had worsened and had initially began inside the warranty period. I would assume a large company would stand behind their products better. A stainless steel resonator should not fail after such little use and such little time. Pathetic customer service.

TL;DR: Avoid Megan Racing products no matter how enticing the price.

well if it started within the year, why did you wait another 6 months? that is your fault.

megan is not known for quality parts, you get what you pay for.... cheap parts usually equals cheap quality

How much did you pay for them? Like $150 right?

Just get another set and prepare to replace that when it breaks, or spend more and get something quality.

I have a Megan racing single exhaust and when it's warm it doesn't rattle but when it gets cold it rattles like no other. Very embarrassing.

I don't know why people complain when their Chinese knock-offs fail. Megan, OBX, Blox, K-sport, etc... All knock offs. Buy Motordynes next time.

To explain why I didn't contact them sooner, I'm in medical school and don't always have time to troubleshoot exhaust rattles. I knew fully that they aren't known for quality, but this is pretty sad. I liked the test pipes, just a shame they weren't put together a little better and a shame they have no pride in their products.

Did u remove the heat shield? I've also installed megan racing test pipes recently. Mainly Becuase I just couldn't afford ART pipes. They sound nice and no rattles. But mine is less than 500 miles on them so we will see.

Megan racing parts are cheaply sourced both in labor and materials. I would not put that crap on my z.

Don't name and shame a brand when you are the one who is at fault. Sorry - but you waited. You noticed, you made up rubbish excuses. Blame is on OP

Perhaps you shouldn't be looking at resonated ones if you have a budget. I would prefer a little rasp from non resonated tp's over cheaply produced resonated ones.

Plus your car would be louder too, which is a huge plus

My Megan rattled tattle aswell but got them for exchange of my stock cats when's first got my g. But I sold them and went better. Yeah Megan make Ight products plus the fumes would come in thru my vents made my lady puke once.
So yeah these are temp ctest pipes like level entry but if u want something that's not going to crap out get the good brands.
Like z1 Tomei md. I don't know what's ur pockets like but I rather suffer/ work and save the dough to get the right product that won't get effective later on yrs to come..

Dude never buy ANYTHING and I mean ANYTHING from Megan Racing or GODSPEED. Both Companies are garbage spinoff's. It's like buying something from China Ebay. There is a reason it is cheap, because to the average person the parts looks good, but the metals and welds and so on are cheaper. Just take a look at some SPL suspension parts and Megan suspension parts and you will see a big difference in price and quality.
