I own a 03 350z and my buddy has a 13 taurus SHO. His car makes 365 hp and a little under that in Tq. Also AWD and 4400lbs at street. I have a couple of mods, and I figure I'm pushing 315 ish for hp. But my car weighs 3100lbs at street. How much does weight factor in to a 1/4 race and who do you think would win? Thanks!
who cares, are you trying to compare dick sizes or something. your de is 287 at the crank so if you think you are 315 with small mods you are dreaming.
That's what power:weight ratio is. Why else does a Formula Ford pushing about 120bhp at the flywheel outrun any of the cars here on this forum up to 60, 100, term. vel.?
The new SHOs are no slouch. I don't think I would have a problem with my HR but no clue about a DE. It is such a big difference between the 2 engines I can't speak on behalf of the DE.
By the way, hope if you race you do it on a track. We do not support street racing on this forum.
For what it's worth, there is a local SHO tuned to "just under 400whp" and I haven't seen it lose to much at our track (including many 350z's). Thought I'd put this out there in an effort to somewhat be on topic - not that anyone cares lol
