hmmm. Unlike you, I have a street car I take to the track, not a track car for the streets. I'm all stock on the suspension and using the Hawk Blue Track Pads. I get brake knock half way through my second 20m session.
this car never goes on the street, i stayed away from hawk as never liked them in previous racecars, the endless were the best pads o could find and are amazing, we bleed brakes every race meeting sometimes after each day. I run cooling to front brakes too
That first video looks like you have a gooly skull reflection in the middle of your windshield when the sun hits it right, must be cool having a dedicated track car.
Don't think he knew what he was letting himself in for trying to be competitive in that class, we're talking well over $100K to have a chance. The whole body would have to be gutted for a start with the roll cage designed to be incorporated into the body structure to increase stiffness. I look at mine and shudder at the thought of doing just that, Nissan certainly did not hold back on the body metal when they designed the 350
There is a rear suspension kit available for the 350Z, carbon fibre doors and hatch, wide body kits and so on. My point is that that to use a Z33 would require a lot of serious work and $$$$$ including pro's who know what they are doing. All this is available but the cost eg the serious time attack blokes use aero consultants. Unfortunately in Australia there is no real race category for a standardish 350Z unlike in the US.

my old man has the carbon doors and hatch on his z racecar. This Z was never built to compete against the Spaceframe cars.

Is your old man entering Challenge Bathurst this year? There are over 40 Z's entered in regularity, mostly S30's but a couple of 350's including my POS. Let me know if he wants a spot with us.
