Default ragtop frustration

Does anyone know how to reach Nissan to complain? I am having a problem with the ragtop and today for the third time the dealer tells me top is fine. After my angry fit, he tells me that almost every roadster has this problem and they are checking with Nissan about it. I fear I will get nowhere with the dealer.

Do you have the updated TSB's for the roadsters (and tops?)

They're available at www.350zfrenzy.com/forum/index.php

At the top of the page is "350Z Info" - in there are all pertinent Z-related TSB's current through 2/4/04.

Some of the roadster TSB's involve replacement of the entire roof. Go take a look, and good luck.

The rounded piece of metal next to the back glass, will not stay on the track and is trying to protrude through the fabric. I have called Nissan and they promised to make it right.

I never knew how poor a service department could be till I purchased my Z. I love the car but I'll never buy another Nissan product as long as I live.

On a scale from 1 to 10 I'd rate them 1. You can trash good ole american cars all you want but you can't beat their service.

Yes you definetely can beat american service, You just have to buy a Lexus, Infiniti, BMW, or Mercedes.

Mercedes service sucks as bad as Nissan. It's just that you have a more biased opinion when they can't help YOU. Therefore almost every dealer's service department sucks unless they bend over backwards for YOU.

That's the way it is.

I can't say enough good things about my dealership.. They replaced my entire tranny in 1 day and provided me with a new Maxima for the day to go to work in..

IMO rag tops are anyway unless they are down.

I totally agree. The idea to having a ragtop is not to use it. BTW, I've not had any problems with my Roadster, including the top (~3000mi & 4mo.). Don't let them push you around. The frame definately should not try to protrude through the cover. The best service depts that I've dealt with have been Nissan, Lexus, and Acura (not necessarily in that order) - the worst - Chrysler/Dodge. I definately have had very few problems with Nissan or their service depts. This is probably why I now have 3 of them. Try a different tackt with your dealer or find a different one. Good luck.

I have had outstanding service from my former dealer in NY, and now again with my new local dealer in CT. Both of them have been excellent in every regard.
