Default New to the 350z forum from Canada

Hi ladies and gents,

I have this disorder which I call automotive A.D.D. where I've bought a car almost every year. Previous cars I've owned are from newest to oldest:
2005 Acura TL Navi, 2006 Infiniti M35X Luxury, 2004 Mercedes Benz E500 fully loaded except for navi, 1998 Lexus GS300 slammed on 20's plus Honda Accord's, Civics. 2004 Acura TSX.

I bought a 2003 Nissan 350Z Track pack with 120,000km 6 speed in November 2015. Drove it for about 1000km before having to put it away for the winter in my garage.
This car is pretty clean except for a couple minor issues.
The previous owner took off the front brembo calipers and put on some basic calipers for unknown reason which puts me on a hunt for some brembo calipers.
The power window doesn't roll down on the driver side, my guess is just a motor.
I've also experienced a issue with the car driving for a bit but when I turn it off it doesn't always turn back on the same day.
other then that it is a pleasure to drive. Has been lowered, aem short air intake with k&n filter has a cat-back exhaust with silencers(I took them out to hear it and glad their there : ) )
Looking forward to take it to the local track this summer Calabogie Motorsport Park.
I'm looking forward to learning about and experiencing this Japanese muscle car.

Thanks for reading, looking forward to this forum.

Welcome dude, car looks great

The window thing is a common problem, nothing to be alarmed. Probably needs a new motor like you mentioned.

Looks like a great group of people on this forum.
As for the issue with starting. Ya it sucks but Im going to check a few things tomorrow like the ground to the body from the starter and the batterey terminals as well. After that I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks.

Quick update. I put the Z back on the road last week. Have already put nearly 500km on it. the issue of it not starting I've come to conclude was because i have a 2016 Civic turbo with the keyless access fob for a winter car. This fob was on the same key chain as the Z key. Ever since i separated them there has not been an issue. My guess is the signal from the Civic fob was interfering with the signal from the Z key to the immobilizer in the Z.
So far so good.
I almost bought a set of brembo calipers but after reading why the seller was getting rid of them made be think i should do the same. BBK, big brake kit. I need to do some research on price and which to get but compared to $550 plus the exchange rate to canadian currency and shipping i could probably buy a BBK. any suggestions from owner of both?

Big brakes are big money, if you have $550 to spend moght want something like the z1 upgraded brake kit or hawk sector 27 kit.. Something like that... You could get some stop teck bbk for like $1600 for the fronts.. Or a complete akebono

Probably best bang for the buck

Default Starting issue

So I'm back to the starting issue ive been having. I spoke to a few friends and have come to a conclusion that the random not starting issue is being caused by the clutch starting switch. I will be buying a new primary clutch starting switch tomorrow and visiting my buddy who owns a shop to get it replaced. Hope it solves this problem because since spring I've only been able to drive the Z less then 1000km 😠
