So I bought a 2003 350z track, and I was looking into tuning options. Since the previous owner went all out on this thing (all name brand everything into a track car) I was wondering if he installed an aftermarket standalone, or possibly a piggyback ecu. Well the picture I'm posting with this is what I found behind the passenger outer kick panel. Can anyone help me identify if these parts are stock or if they are aftermarket and what it is? Thanks in advance
I noticed what looks like an Ethernet cable coming out on the top?
The factory ECU is under the dashboard on the passenger side.KInda hard to tell from the picture but it looks like the oem ecu. That cable does look similar to a Utec harness cover.
The utec will be attached to the stock ecu.
Post better pics...
I'll take more pictures when I get home but there's not much more to show. I saw that it is the factory ecu under the dash, but I was wondering if this was a piggyback ecu. It does have wires going to the factory ecu.
It looks to be identical to the unichip piggy back, only difference is that Ethernet looking cord coming out of my harness. Any ideas why that would be like that? Thanks again
