Default trading the Z in

hello,

I'll be trading in my 08 350z hr into the dealership. problem is I have an aftermarket steering wheel in it. would the dealer take the car as a trade and how much roughly would they penalize me for it as in terms of value of the car if they did take the car in? the car has an aftermarket head unit as well which makes the control on the steering wheel useless.

your opinions are much appreciated

Might be a deal killer if it's not an airbag wheel. Why not swap the OEM wheel back in?

But expect low book offer at best.... but depends on how badly they want to sell you a new cah and of course, mileage and condition of your Z. It's always a better financial move to sell it separate but I totally get the "convenience" of just trading it in.

Figure dealer cost of the wheel and airbag will be deducted from their lowball offer.

Just put your wheel back on.

Stereo control do work on aftermarket decks, there is a cheap adapter

Selling your car is best, unless your happy getting $4k less than its worth

Just go to a junk yard and get a wheel with an airbag in it... Or ebay, or slidegoods, or z1, or craigslist, or one of the many other places they are available. Does your car have a salvage title to go with the lack of air bag? Thats going to be the big money loss... Other then that of its a big dealer they probably wont notice or care because the cars going to action anyways... If its a small dealer they are going to want to resell and they cant do that with missing safety features.

That trade in is going to hurt... So very, very badly.

I'm so stoked I bought my 35th and had it paid off in 2 months.

OUCH!

I think OP needs to stop buying mods and start making payments.

I still don't get this tho, this is like my buddy. Hes owed on his last 4 new cars, yet they still approve him for a new BMW which hes already behind on and works at KFC...

And I have a full time gov job with a 750 credit score and 0 debt and I have to co sign and beg for my truck even with my $15k cash down..... I will never understand this world...

Its probably because you haven't borrowed enough money, I had a similar problem when I wanted to buy a new car back in 04, bastards...

Them bickbags at Nissan wouldn't even let me test drive a new 350z back then... Luckily the good people at honda let me test drive an S2K, and dodge let me play with the SRT4, and Acura let me go for a spin in a rsx type s (what I ended up with)... Wish I had gone with the S2K.

Thats like it. Considering 750 credit is around average. And ko credit history probably wont mean much.

I was in a similar situation with my house, ended up with it, but interests was WAY unnecessary high. But thats how greedy banks gets ya.

Samezee... I pay 4.25% on my loan so im not going to complain but it should have been more like 3.9%, got a little screwed that I never borrowed money before but its better then paying rent... Only thing that sucks is paying property taxes... Thats like a kick in the ***** when it comes in the mail every few months.
