Get to buffing, polishing and elbow grease.

That's why I never go chrome anymore. Such a PITA to work with.

I'm not very familiar with those specific wheels, if they are clear-coated aluminum, you risk removing more of the protective finish. If they are raw polished/brushed aluminum then just pick up some mothers or blue magic metal polish and get to work with a cotton cloth (old socks work great!).

If you discover they are clear coated, I would say try using a clay bar followed by using auto paint polish before going the metal polish route.

Wheels can be tricky thanks to the numerous manufacturing processes used. Some are powder coated, some are painted and cleared, some are chromed, and some are just polished. Be mindful of the type of wheels you have when selecting cleaning/polishing products. Good Luck!

No sure what CK_32 is talking about but there's no chrome there.

You could try to repair the clear coat as stated by icer. The clear is over semi finished/machined bare aluminum.

I would remove all of the clear with paint stripper and get some Mother's Aluminum and Mag polish and polish it by hand. Requires quite a bit of elbow grease but comes out amazing. I've done this before to several sets of wheels so I'm speaking from experience.

I have to polish up the lips of my forged wheels every few months since there is no clear.

Chrome/polished steel/alumi all PITA to keep clean.

i just said chrome because I just got done with a 10 hr shift and saw shiny. Still all the same. Polish your little heart out, wait for it to come back. Or just coat/paint it and be done with it.
