2006 350z vs 2017 WRX
I raced mainly evo 10s..so a fully bolted hr would get walked by a stock evo9?...I never raced one before so i can't speak on that.
idk maybe a bolt on HR on a diet with a great driver would beat a full weight, low boost, stock turbo, bolt on Evo

no i said stock turbo. bolt on HR would get walked by a bolt on evo 9 or 10, yes.. my stock turbo made 393hp/411 ft lbs. that was at 29psi. even at 23-24psi its a 330whp car.

How to beat a Evo 10, go over 110. They got nothing with that 5 speed.
I was in a stock final edition for a day as well, Stock, my HR would kill it.
But a few friends around here who work on them tell me the Evo is VERY cheap to get a lot of power out of. They are kinda like SRT-4, you are either going to beat them easy, or get your doors blown off depending on if its modded or not.

I have a fairly modded Revup ZR and a stock Evo X with exhaust which is fairly compared;e to your basic STI. Up to 70 or so my Evo clearly faster. past that that the tables change fairly drastically. Like stated before after a 100 mph the Z is clearly stronger. On a different note I woulld not suggest racing at those speeds unless you go find a track. Just saying.
9's are lighter and quicker than an evo 10. An evo 10 has too much weight, too bulky...i used to have an 8, your better off with a 9 even tho they r really similar. The 9 just has a lil more power...
Assuming two equally good drivers, Z wins in a straight line but wrx will pull initially on the launch.
Assuming two equally crappy drivers, wrx could win in a straight line if the Z driver completely botches the launch.
From a roll the Z should win every time because the new wrx's are fcking slow outside of second gear between 3k and 4.5k rpms.
On an autox course or any highly technical course, I think the wrx has the edge.
I own an '07 Z and a '16 wrx. Have autocrossed both.
The wrx can do nothing but get an OTS tune and instantly fck the Z up though.
