Rear Deck Spoiler Replacement - DIY??
Well, My spoiler on my 04 Perf. started coming up in the foreward middle, so they ordered me a new one. Part came in, and Im wondering if I should just replace it myself or if I should let them do it. Im afraid they're not gonna be as careful as I would, and end up scratching my car.
Then again, I have no idea how hard this will be... so any pointers? Anyone done it themselves?

I mounted a spoiler on a friend's Z which came without one from the factory. It was an easy job, although it was best that he wasn't there when the drilling in the back deck was occurring!!!
If the stock spoiler is just being replaced, the task is very easy. The only issue will be the dozen or so plastic push-bolts that hold the plastic rear cover in place. In popping them out, some will probably break. When you buy a new spoiler kit, they give you a complete set of replacements- you will need at least some of them.
As to the process of bolting in- there is a hole located beneath each bolt just the right size to insert a socket.

Thanks for the input, but it turns out that they have to do it themselves being that it is a warantee part. Oh well, Im gonna prep the car nice, throw a coat of wax on it before i go. Maybe evn mask off the areas surrounding the spoiler to protect it, use maybe plastic wrap or celephane(sp?). Well thanks for the heads up anyways... I'll let ya all know what happens.
