Check your brake pad wear sensors - could be one (or more) of those.

Why not buy the correct size wheels and tires initially? They don't cost more.

Hmmm, when I wrote that, I just thought it might be a good opportunity to put it out there since I had new wheels to play with (and use as an illustration backdrop) but turns out it may ackshully be helpful...

So, now that it's been determined it is +40 (as all suspected), go through all the diagnosis (or have a shop do it) and when that's settled, get yourself a set of new tires in correct sizes and/or add a 15mm spacer to bring the effective offset to about +25mm so that it sits right because right now it's pretty "tucked". (That IS a "t", not "f".... )
thank you man that article was actually really helpful! I may be due for new set of tires sooner than I wanted. I got the car used and the current tire setup is weird. Got 225/40R19 BLIZZAKS on the front (wut) and 275/30R19 Summer tires on the rear. Definitely not an ideal setup, who would have winters on the front. I wasn't going to replace them till the rears were more worn down. I wanted to do 255s all the way around so I could balance and rotate the wheels but idk if that's as good for the car as most people seem to do a staggered setup.

The current tire setup is from the previous owner. Dude is rocking 225/40R19 BLIZZAKS up front and 275/30R19 in the back. Definitely not great but they had meat on them and I just dropped like $1200 on the wheels so a new set of tires would have cost a lot more. I want to do a square setup of 255 all around maybe. Had the wheels for 10months and it only started getting bad now so I didn't think rubbing was an issue

Just pick up a set of OEM wheels and tires. They'll look good, fit correctly, and won't cost much.

A 255 square setup works for many people. Me, I don't care about tire rotation. Couple reasons, I run multiple sets of wheels/tires and actually don't drive the car much. Plus, I keep my alignment SET. Modest camber - still in factory range - and all other adjustments are kept within as well.

Technically, a square setup "should" produce a tad more oversteer than I care for (although now that I've run square, it's not really too bad). But for that reason, I run staggered (I opt for just a bit of oversteer through mechanical adjustment of roll stiffness) just to keep it in balance. With your wheel setup (and most people's) you can't go wrong with a 245/35 & 275/35 or 255/35 & 285/35 setup.

You may or may not need to roll the fenders at stock height but the offset is so high, I doubt you'll have any issues. Wasn't until I was on 9.5 +15 offset where I actually needed to roll mine but other people run those fine, unrolled. It all depends on your particular car and the state of the suspension.

Fix your rub problem first and THEN go from there.

Thanks for the good advice. I wouldnt mind doing the 255 setup and maybe throwing spacers on if its still tucked, definitely will be in the back. What do you think about 255 in the back with spacers? It would probably need a fairly large spacer wouldnt it? I dont know if they are safe if you do that. I daily my car at least half the week and only really have one set of wheels so thats why the square setup may work for me a bit more. Definitely right though with fixing the rubbing sound, then getting wheels and lastly coils in the future possibly. Girlfriend permitting...

Hey everyone so quick update, jacked the car up and got the wheel. On the upper control arm there was a slim all rub mark. It's very thin though, you can barely feel it when you run your finger over it. The wheel doesn't really look damaged either. It's hard to tell but I think spacer will fix it. The brakes looked fine. The rotary have lines going all around them so I'll probably replace those.

FYI brakes rotors, not rotary. As far as spacers go, 15mm will put you at 25, which sets a little further out than stock. Lots of people run spacers and never have a problem. Just make sure they are installed correctly.

hey guys so I put 15mm spacers on the front. Completely fixed the rubbing BUT now my wheel vibrates in the steering wheel above 35mph. Seems sketch so I haven't drove it more. They are hubcentric spacers and seemed to bolt on fairly easily. Any thoughts? Should I get higher quality spacers or wheel alignment. Are my hubs crap? Car has less then 5,000 miles. Fix one problem, get another
