Default Warm start issue after battery disconnect

Hey Z folks,
So I have an issue after doing some work on my car... I disconnected my battery and tps sensor a couple of days ago while working on my car (04 ZR) and later when I zipped everything back up and fired up the car it started and ran perfect as it always does but later after driving around a bit and the car was well warmed up, I tried restarting and it fires up then the idle drops and it dies but if I blip the throttle it'll pick up and idle correctly afterwords.
Since then I've discovered that on a cold startup the car will idle and run fine, first start of the day, starting up after work etc but it will not start and idle when warm.
Im not getting any codes and I've done some research and it appears quite a few have had the same problem after disconnecting the battery but I haven't seen any concrete solutions to the problem.
Some say sensors (cps, tps, maf, etc) are going but I get no codes and don't want to just start throwing parts/sensors at it... on one thread the owner said the problem corrected itself after about a month and he assumed it was a gradual ecu relearn.
Ive had my battery disconnected/replaced before though and this never happened so I'm not sure an ecu/tps idle relearn curve makes sense.
Any ideas? It's been three days now and it still doesn't hold an idle (unless I blip the throttle) on warm startup.
So far I have not been able to find anyone that has found a solution to this other than to just "wait it out" and hopefully it'll correct itself. Car just turned 165k miles on he odo btw and is my dd, I put about 450 miles a week on it, never any mechanical or electrical issues.

What work did you do? I'm thinking the battery disconnect is a coincidence.

changed my oil and pulled the spark plug on #6 to see if oil was leaking into the spark plug tube, which it was.... disconnected the tps sensor in the process as well as battery disconnect.
in my research of the issue I found there were several people that say they have the same issue as I'm having every time they disconnect there battery....thing is I've disconnected my battery before without this happening... no codes coming up... if I lightly tap the throttle, the car will idle just fine, it just won't catch and do it on It's own on a warm start...

Sounds like you may need to do an idle air relearn. The ECU will reset this if the battery is disconnected for too long. Its also a good idea to clean the MAF and replace spark plugs and air filters if it about that time.

I think you are right about the idle air relearn.
I'll most likely give this a shot tomorrow, I've read the procedure for the relearn so I'm familiar with what's involved.
I'll be replacing the valve covers pretty soon so yeah, while I'm in there I'll be changing plugs, filter etc.
I bought this car with 60k on the clock and now with 165k have yet to have to replace any sensors, window motors etc... of course now that I've mentioned that they'll probably all go at once in the next day or two!
Thanks for your reply!

thanks for the reply... haven't done this yet but will soon.
The strange part is it's actually getting better every day... idle still drops but not as much as previous and gets better every day... strange...
