Default Looking to get rid of AEM cai

After doing some research I've decided I want to get rid of my aem cai. I really don't want another cold air intake in general. It would be nice to be able to drive in the rain without having to worry. The only issue I'm having is that when I bought my car the guy didn't have the stock intake. Does anybody know if the jwt pop charger will fit with the first part of the aem intake? I was also looking at the mishimoto intake, but that also requires the stock intake tube. Or can anybody recommend and intake that doesn't use the stock tube.

Thanks

No you need the tube of the stock intake. I think you're better off going with a stock airbox.

Gains are minimal with any bolt on and not worth the risk of heatsoak or waterlock.

Hydro locking via standard intake is literally almost impossible unless you are going through river size street floods.

Leave it. Your worried about something that won't ever happen. People have run hoses at full blast directly into intakes showing hydrolock via rain is a myth.

But if you really want to ditch it. Get a OEM air box and call it a day.

Actually if you do a simple search you will find some prior 350z members that have done just that.

Yeah ill agree its not a myth... Stalling out in a puddle is not a good time.

Op you can get a Z1 intake that comes with a Z tube and mass airflow adapter for pretty reasonable prices. If you dont have a mass airflow tube they can be found relatively easily.
